Sad demise of MAIC Alumni who was elected as a collector for one day
Sep 22, 2023 Shrikriti Diwan, a bright and sociable Alumni of MAIC College, passed away on Wednesday night. Shrikriti, a hard- working and disciplined student, had made her own identity in the college at the academic level.
January 9, 2018 was a historic day for the youth of Chhattisgarh. The then Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh had organized the "Youth Spark" state level competition to give a platform to the talents of the youth. More than three lakh youth of the state participated in this competition, organized in five phases. The student who won the fifth phase was made the collector of his district for one day. The then 27 districts of the state got new young student collectors that day. The winner of Raipur district, Shrikriti Diwan, a promising student of Maharaja Agrasen International College (MAIC College, Samta Colony), became the one day collector of Raipur district that day. The then Raipur Collector O.P. Chaudhary ji gave her the charge of the one day of Raipur and also held many departmental meetings with her, inspected the development works of Raipur, and also did many administrative works. The whole MAIC college regrets to inform her sudden demise which is a great loss for the college family and the whole society as well.
