NAAC Peer Team visited Maharaja Agrasen International College for 2nd cycle of Accreditation
Jul 19, 2023 Inspection program under the guidance of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) was conducted on 18th and 19th July at Maharaja Agrasen International College, Samta Colony, Raipur run by Shri Maharaja Agrasen Charitable Trust and evaluated all the departments as well as resources of the college. Principal of the college Dr. M.S. Mishra said that the members of the NAAC Peer team were Chairperson Dr. Amitabh Saxena from Dr. C.V. Raman University, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh followed by member Dr. Prof. Mohd Israrul Haque from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and member co-ordinator Dr. Mary Kutty P J from St. Anns College of Education, Hyederabad, Telangana. Under the peer team’s supervision all the departments were evaluated on their respective educational level of professors, assessed on the educational facilities available in the laboratory and college. Along with this, the activities of the college were assessed by holding separate meetings with former students, parents, society members and present students of the college. On this occasion, all the members of the Governing Board, Principal, Faculty members and Admin department were present. The inspection program was followed by cultural evening consisting of performances by the students depicting the culture through traditional danceforms of Chhattisgarh as well as of other states of India.
Principal Dr. M.S. Mishra said that evaluation of the second phase is going on. The first cycle of assessment & accreditation was conducted by NAAC in 2017 where the college procured B+ grade. The college completed all the necessary deliverables of NAAC in February 2023 for the second phase as per the rules, in view of which the NAAC peer team inspected and tested the available resources and academic, sports and other achievements of the college.
