Maharaja Agrasen International College, Raipur gets B+ grade by NAAC
Aug 04, 2023 Maharaja Agrasen International College, Raipur has been awarded the B+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Dr. M.S.Mishra, Principal of the college, said we are honored to have maintained the NAAC B+ grade in the second cycle of accreditation. Maharaja Agrasen International College is one of the reputed institutions of Raipur established in 2006 by Shri Maharaja Agrasen Charitable Trust. The college is affiliated to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur and functions B.Com, M.Com, BBA, BCA, PGDCA, B.Sc. and B. Voc Interior Design courses.
The college scored a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.68 on a 4 point scale. Every college in the country needs to be assessed by NAAC once every five years. For the purpose of assessment and accreditation, every institution is required to set standards in terms of quality with regards to seven criteria. On scrutiny of the same, NAAC then constitutes a peer team comprising reputed academicians and experts to visit the college for evaluation and validation. MAIC underwent first cycle of accreditation in 2017 where the college secured B+ grade. This year the 2nd accreditation cycle scrutiny was done on 18th and 19th July 2023. The NAAC team evaluated the academic years from 2017 to 2022 at the college on the basis of SSR. The college was evaluated on the basis of teaching learning methods adopted, infrastructure, extension activities, seminar, workshops, Alumni, Placement as well as Faculty Profiles of each department. Later the team prepared its report and submitted it to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and the college maintained its B+ grade.
Principal Dr. M.S. Mishra and Chairman Shri Rajesh Agarwal quoted that the accreditation is the hard-work done by our students and faculty for 5 years that has resulted in getting this recognition which has endorsed our academic framework and policies that we have been practicing since inception. The institute has stood by its motive to focus on the overall development of its students and the Management, Principal and Faculties have worked vigorously to achieve this. In the previous scheme, before 2017, the entire assessment was based on the peer team visit which was revised. Now under the new process, 70 per cent of the assessment is based on the data submitted by the institution which is assessed by a third party, which makes the process even more stringent.
Chairman of College Shri Rajesh Agrawal and Ex- Chairman Shri Ramesh Agrawal congratulated the whole staff of the college for this achievement and motivated them to do much better in the upcoming years.
