Site Visit to understand practical aspects of Furniture by Interior Design Students of MAIC

B. Voc Interior Design Department of Maharaja Agrasen International College, Raipur organized a Site Visit for its Second year students on 17 August 2023 to make them understand the practical aspect of the course and execution line ups related to furniture in Interior Design. The students visited an ongoing site in Rajdhani Vihar, Saddu, Raipur. They visited the site in order to understand the onsite furniture manufacturing process. Students were able to understand the manufacturing process of customized furniture pieces along with their final polishing and paint as well that is conducted on individual site. They were also able to witness of process of how designs comes to life in real time and what points are to be considered from designing to execution of these pieces. They were also made aware of the emerging scope of customized furniture units in present scenario and their functioning. Students were able to extensively learn about the peculiarities of furniture conceptualization to modeling and final execution along with the varied limitations it hold with it as well. They were also able to interact with the onsite workers overlooking the preparation process to learn the basics from grass root level. The students were accompanied Interior Design Department faculties Ar. Neha Agase and ID Jaishree Dewangan. The visit was successfully organized under the guidance of the Chairman of the college, Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, Principal Dr. M S Mishra, and administrator, Mr. Siddharth Sabarwal who also motivated the students on their successful and zealous participation for the visit.
