Dec 09, 2022 National Seminar on Ideas to make India world's largest economy
organized at Maharaja Agrasen International College, Raipur.
The key resource speaker for the session was Mr. Srinu Raju, a world-
renowned economist and a zealous advocate of Urban Land Reform in India. Mr.
Raju was welcomed with a sapling by Dr. S.K Jain, Assistant Professor commerce
department. The session was enlightening and covered various intriguing questions
regarding factors affecting India's economic growth and the ways to overcome them
so as to emerge a leading economy in the coming decades. Mr. Raju discussed
thoroughly about the importance of Vacant Land Tax, Digital economy as well as
various other topics and how its implementation in the economic aspect of India can
be a solution to many ongoing scenarios in the country including unemployment
and price hikes. He also discussed that how these all-possible solutions can make
India world’s leading economy by 2037.All the arguments presented and discussed
by sir were result of detailed and on point observations by him and also the
referenced excerpts from works of fellow economists. The whole session was thought
provoking, beneficial and engaging for the students.
