Aug 29, 2022 Maharaja Agrasen International College, Samta Colony organized MAIC Premier
League Raipur today, on 29/8/2022, on the occasion of National Sports Day.
National Sports Day is celebrated in the memory of India's hockey legend
Major Dhyan Chand who was born on 29th August and thus the day is celebrated
as National Sports Day. The main objective of celebrating National Sports Day is
to make the youth and students aware of sports and the importance of sports.
Sports play an important role in inculcating social values.
National Sports Day is organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi in which various
sports are organized. National level players who have excelled in sports are
rewarded and honored also.
On this important day of National Sports Day in the college, a cricket tournament
was organized. In this the College Principal XI and the other Team Administrator
XI participated. JCI Raipur MAIC United and Rover Ranger Girls and Boys team
also participated in the game.
Dr. M.S. Mishra, Principal and Mr. Siddharth Sabharwal captained teams
Principal XI and Administrator XI respectively. The winning teams were JCI Raipur
MAIC United Girls Team, Rover Ranger Boys team and Administrator IX.
JCI Raipur MAIC United Girls team and Boys team was captained by Kriti Agrawal
and Sudeep Singh respectively.
Rover Ranger Girls and Boys team was captained by Unnati Tiwari and
Raunak Behar respectively.
The program was successfully organized by the Chairman of the college,
