National Seminar on " Role of Education for Viksit Bharat" organized at MAIC
Jun 01, 2024 Maharaja Agrasen International College and IQAC organized a 1-day National Seminar on the topic of " Role of Education for Viksit Bharat" on 1st June 2024 at the college auditorium. The National Seminar was successfully organized under the guidance of Chief Patron Chairman of the college Shri Rajesh Agarwal and Patron Ex-Chairman Shri Ramesh Agarwal, Cheif Convener Dr. M.S. Mishra and Organizing Secretary Dr. Shweta Tiwari, HOD Department of Commerce at MAIC.
The purpose of the Seminar was to portray the role of education in reconstructing the nation and how education can deliver holistic development. Focusing on how education need not be bounded to academics only, perhaps emphasizing on nurturing values, incorporating cognitive skills, fostering interdisciplinary learning and embracing diversity leading to a strong foundation for a prosperous and inclusive future, along with the importance of digitalization and technology for viksit bharat. The audience for the Seminar were students, research scholars, assistant professors, academicians connected in online as well as offline mode.
The Cheif Guest for the Seminar was Hon'ble Shri Sachchidanand Shukla, Vice Chancellor of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (C.G.). The speakers for the National Seminar were eminent personalities from multiple disciplines where the session began by saraswati pooja and floral welcome of the keynote speakers and college dignitaries. This was followed by welcome speech by Dr. M.S.Mishra, Principal MAIC who welcomed the guests and also talked about Outcome Based Learning as Mission and Vision of MAIC. Hon'ble Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Chairman MAIC also welcomed the dignitaries and emphasized the inculcation of MAIC Culture in the college students that the institution is aiming in the upcoming academic session.
The inaugural session of the seminar was headed by the Cheif Guest Prof. Shukla who talked elaborately about NEP, its requirement, Traditional Knowledge Systems in context with Chhattisgarh and also on the possibilities of Flexible Learning in the University as well as Multidisciplinary approach.
The next session was chaired by Dr. Varaprasad Kolla, Professor & Director Amity University Raipur (C.G.) who discussed the crucial topic of topics to teach the students and way to teach and also the need to Promote Local Languages as well as dialects alongwith keeping Research in Focus for students for Viksit Bharat and making students self sustaining. He also thoroughly discussed the Paradigm Shift of Student Mindset and Indian Direction to Problem Solution.
In the next segment of the seminar the closing session was headed by Dr. Rajeev Choudhary, DSW And Professor SOS in Physical Education, Pt.RSU Raipur who elaborated the topic of Holistic and Integrated Development alongwith Body Mind Connections and crucial topics of Body, Mind, Intellect, Soul and Spirit very demanding for NEP.
The whole seminar was very educative and the eminent speakers touched upon the various brainstorming topics relating to research, as well as psychological aspects related to Teaching. In the closing session of the National Seminar the participants were awarded the certificates for their participation in the Seminar followed by momento distribution to the honourable speakers and group photo at the end.
